IET Foundational Techniques Certification Program is a 4-Step Process:

    The 4 Step Process

    • Attend (IET F4) 4 Day Foundational Techniques Intensive Clinic 
    • Complete a Total of Six Case Studies
    • Complete a Total of 3 / 15-minute videotaped sessions with a horse using the techniques learned in the Clinic.
    • Teach Assist at one of the Foundational Hands-on Clinics.If unable to Teach Assist at a Clinic, you can Assist The Program in Other Educational Formats. Contact Us.
    • The case studies and videotapes need to be completed before Practicum.

    Step 2

    • Complete two case studies
    • Complete one 15-minute videotaped sessions with a horse using the techniques from Nutritional Assessment & Applied Kinesiology: Wisdom of the Equine Body Clinic.
    • Assist at one of the Foundational Hands-on Clinics. This requirement can be completed during steps 2 or 3. If unable to Teach Assist at a Clinic, you can Assist The Program in Other Educational Formats. Contact Us.

    Step 3

    • Complete two case studies
    • Complete one 15-minute videotaped sessions with a horse using the techniques from Healing Loin and Pelvic issues: Deeper Connection with Equus.
    • The case studies and videotapes need to be submitted and graded within 2 months of completing the third clinic.
    • Teach Assist at one of the Foundational Hands-on Clinics. If unable to Teach Assist at a Clinic, you can Assist The Program in Other Educational Formats. Contact Us.

    Step 4

    Students must assist at least 1  (IET F4) Foundational Hands-on clinic.

    Students can only assist in a clinic they have already attended.

    While assisting, Tom will evaluate the student’s techniques and understanding of this method.

Students who have satisfactorily completed all necessary requirements listed above will earn their Certification in IET Foundational Techniques Certification after passing Step 4.

Students wishing to become certified in IET Foundational Techniques will need to enroll in the (IET F4) Foundational Intensive Course. Students are able to enroll in this certification program at the same time they register to attend the Foundational Course, or they can enroll at a later date. Students wishing to become certified in IET Foundational Techniques must enroll within 6 months of completing the (IET F4) Course.

Registration Cancellation and Refund Policy

Weekend Courses: Registration may be canceled or transferred any time up to 30 days prior to the scheduled seminar. There will be a $100 fee for this cancellation or transfer. Any cancellation or transfer made after this 30-day period will be charged a $150 fee.

  • Advanced 3 Day Courses: Registration may be canceled or transferred any time up to 30 days prior to the scheduled seminar. There will be a $150 fee for this cancellation or transfer. Any cancellation or transfer made after this 30-day period will be charged a $250 fee.
  • Products purchased with courses at a discount will have to be paid in full if a refund is required for canceling a course.
  • Request for refund must be given within 3 business days of cancellation. Transfers must be completed within 6 months of the original course date in order for the transfer to be accepted.

There is a “No Cancellation” Policy for this course.

In the rare event that Integrated Equine Therapies needs to cancel a course, we will let you know at least 21 days prior to the first day of the scheduled course and immediately refund any full tuition paid. However, we will not be responsible for non-refundable airline tickets or lodging reservations. Please do not purchase airline tickets or make non-refundable deposits on lodging that cannot be canceled 21 days ahead of time.

If you have registered for an Integrated Equine Therapies course and traveling becomes hazardous on the day of the course, please use your own judgment when deciding to attend. Those who cannot attend a course because of inclement weather should contact the Integrated Equine Therapies Office at (530) 903-6852 the following Monday and refund decisions will be made on an individual basis.
