Tom Mayes ~ IET ~ Advanced Osteopathic Certification Program teaches students how to obtain significant, lasting results to lameness, metabolic, and emotional conditions in horses that have not been correctable using modern allopathic and traditional treatments. Therefore, students emerging with a certification in Advanced Osteopathy will become part of an elite group of highly sought after practitioners.
Certification – (IET EQ OSTEO) Advanced Equine Osteopathic Techniques
Advanced Osteopathic Techniques Certification Program teaches students how to obtain significant, lasting results to lameness, metabolic, and emotional conditions in horses that have not been correctable using modern allopathic and traditional treatments. Therefore, students emerging with a certification in Advanced Osteopathy Techniques will become part of an elite group of highly sought after practitioners. They will be positioned to develop successful private practices. This certification program is focused on teaching students techniques, approaches, and diagnostic protocols that offer tremendous results and are easily verified by multiple means.
Advanced Osteopathic Techniques Certification Program is a 5-Step Process:
Step 1:
- Attend Advanced Osteopathy 1 Course.
- Complete two case studies and one 30-minute videotape session with a horse using the techniques learned in Advanced Osteopathy 1 Course. The case studies and video tape need to be satisfactorily completed before attending Advanced Osteopathy 2.
Step 2:
- Attend Advanced Osteopathy 2 Course.
- Complete two case studies and one 30-minute videotape session with a horse using the techniques learned in Advanced Osteopathy 2 Course. The case studies and video tape need to be satisfactorily completed before attending Advanced Osteopathy 3.
Step 3:
- Attend Advanced Osteopathy 3 Course.
- Complete two case studies and one 30-minute videotape session with a horse using the techniques learned in Advanced Osteopathy 3 Course. The case studies and video tape need to be satisfactorily completed before attending Advanced Osteopathy 4.
- Assist at one of the Advanced Osteopathy courses*. This requirement can be completed during step 3 or 4.
Step 4:
- Attend Advanced Osteopathy 4 Course.
- Complete two case studies and one 30-minute videotape session with a horse using the techniques learned in Osteopathic Therapy 4 Course. The case studies and video tape will need to be submitted and graded within 2 months of completing the last course.
- Assist at one of the Advanced Osteopathic courses*. This requirement can be completed during step 3 or 4.
Step 5:
- Schedule a date with Tom Mayes for your final practicum
- Practicum includes, verbal, written & hands on testing.
* Students must assist at least 1 Advanced Osteopathy Course. Assistant positions are only open to students who have completed Advanced Osteopathy 3, and students can only assist in a course they have already attended. While assisting, Tom will be evaluating the student’s techniques and understanding of Osteopathy.
Students who have satisfactorily completed all necessary requirements listed above will earn their Certification in Advanced Osteopathy Techniques, after passing Step 5.
Students wishing to become certified in Advanced Osteopathy Techniques will need to enroll in the Advanced Osteopathy Techniques Courses. Each Advanced Osteopathy Techniques Course builds upon the previous course and is important take all courses in order. Students are able to enroll in this certification program the same time they register to attend one of the Advanced Osteopathy Techniques Courses. Or, they can enroll at a later date. Students wishing to become certified in Advanced Osteopathy Techniques must enroll within 6 months of completing the Advanced Osteopathy 4 Course.

Prerequisite: Complete all 4 Advanced Osteopathy Techniques Courses in the Series of Hands-on Clinics

Registration Cancellation and Refund Policy
Registration may be cancelled or transferred any time up to 30 after payment is received.
There will be a $50 fee for this cancellation or transfer.
Any cancellation or transfer made after this 30 day period, will be charged a $100 fee.

- Attend (IET EQ OSTEO 3) Advanced Osteopathic Techniques 3 Course.
- Complete two case studies and one 30-minute videotape session with a horse using the techniques learned in (IET EQ OSTEO 3) Course. The case studies and video tape need to be satisfactorily completed before attending (IET EQ OSTEO 4)
- Assist at one of the (IET EQ OSTEO 1) (IET EQ OSTEO 2) courses*. This requirement can be completed during step 3 or 4.
Step 4:
- Attend (IET EQ OSTEO 4) Advanced Osteopathic Techniques 4 Course.
- Complete two case studies and one 30-minute videotape session with a horse using the techniques learned in (IET EQ OSTEO 4) Course. The case studies and video tape will need to be submitted and graded within 2 months of completing the last course.
- Assist at one of the (IET EQ OSTEO 1) (IET EQ OSTEO 2) (IET EQ OSTEO 3) courses*. This requirement can be completed during step 3 or 4.
Step 5:
- Schedule a date with Tom Mayes for your final practicum; IN WRITING; SEND EMAIL
- Practicum includes, verbal, written & hands on testing.
* Students must assist at least 1 Tom Mayes ~ IET ~ Advanced Osteopathic Techniques Course. Assistant positions are only open to students who have completed Advanced Osteopathy 3, and students can only assist in a course they have already attended. While assisting, Tom will be evaluating the student’s techniques and understanding of teh Signature Tom Mayes ~ IET ~ Advanced Osteopathic Techniques.
