Course Logistics and Policies

Course Logistics

  • Once payment is received and processed, students will then be enrolled in the course. An email from Integrated Equine Therapies will follow with a Waiver and Release of Liability form to be filled out prior to attendance.

  • Courses typically run from 9 AM to 4 PM, unless otherwise specified. A lunch break will be scheduled each day. Students are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes early on the first day to get acquainted.

  • Minimal snacks and beverages provided. Students will need to bring their own lunch.

  • Courses include a mix of lecture and hands-on work with horses, held in both indoor and outdoor settings.

  • Dress comfortably for the weather and to work around horses throughout the course. While some lectures may be indoors, most of the course will take place either in a covered arena or outdoors. The course involves standing for extended periods, so please wear appropriate footwear.

  • Students are expected to have experience with safe horse handling practices and be confident working around horses to ensure safety during the course for the horses and the students.

  • A handbook will be provided on the first day of the course. Please bring pens/pencils and a notebook for note-taking. Pre-readings sent prior to course. View the specific course page for information on pre-requisites.

  • Accommodations, and transportation to and from the course location, are the responsibility of the student. Vehicle parking available on site.

  • Courses are held rain or shine. If extreme weather conditions occur, refer to our policies regarding course cancellations or attendance adjustments.

Course Policies

Cancellation/Transfer Policy

  • Cancellations or transfers made 30 days or more before the course may incur a $150 fee.

  • Cancellations or transfers made within 30 days of the course may incur a $250 fee.

  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, and we will review cancellation and transfer requests on a case-by-case basis to determine the appropriate solution. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or transfer your registration.

  • Refund requests must be made within 3 business days of cancellation. Transfers must be completed within 6 months of the original course date.

  • In the rare event that Integrated Equine Therapies must cancel a course, students will be notified at least 21 days prior to the start date and will receive a full refund.

Non-Refundable Travel & Lodging

  • We will not be responsible for non-refundable airline tickets or lodging reservations. Please avoid purchasing airline tickets or making non-refundable deposits on lodging that cannot be canceled at least 21 days prior to the course.
